BIG opportunity...Need genuine opinions here

What would the price difference be between renting a lift and buying a WFP package on this site?

lift cost $150 or about per day
Basic DI unit $250 then pole $500-1000 hoses tds meter and other accessories

Cheapest to get a lift with delivery ranges from $500 and up.

Starting DI system $250
WFP for under 30’ $350 and up

it would be a good investment into your future.

Simple choice

The problem is this job doesn’t require a lift. So if you even try to include a lift your up against it. There will be a bunch of others that will do it without.

This is how I would do this job. The more i look at it. I would ladder those small plates, An stick the big ones. If there really dirty have a few sticks one with a white pad for a quick pre-scrub if need bee. If not just one stick with strip washer, one with squeegee , one with fixi clamp. 3 stick operation… 2 guys. One ladderijg the. Small plates or just come back for them.

Please don’t tell me you can’t buy 3 sticks :scream: JK :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Including me. Lol. I already looked at the milage. I’m out of the running.

I’m about to call Whitehorse. See where he’s at. Ha

Those windows are so clean it’s not like it’s a first timer. This here’s a maintain clean.

WOW…this thread blew up haha!..Sorry I have been MIA guys…the last few days have been insane to say the least…I’m going through these replies and will try to answer any questions or add to the conversation. Again, sorry for being MIA on the post I originated…I see a lot of good points here too…Thanks to all of you for your input!..You’re all a class act…

I’ll find out by Friday if I won the bid…There was a question from the prospective client about any sort of deposit or down payment…if I can get a decent deposit from them, I could pick up a DI system…the TDS in that area is quite low to start…so I think this could be a way to at least get a decent system to start.

All the screens are n the inside…some do look like they are on the outside…but they aren’t…I wish I had taken pics of the windows close up…I would guess that they have not been cleaned in about a year…or maybe two. He said the last guy went MIA.

I’m really not sure why they look clean in the pictures…believe me when I say…they are FAR from clean LOL.

Even If you couldn’t use wfp you can still ladder it and use the money for a wfp later on, this is a cake job ladder or not! Ladder is harder and take longer but it can be done…I had a job that I laddered that took 3 days with 2 -3 guys, and when I got the wfp it took me one day by myself!!! So work with what you have until you can afford the wfp…

I have been MIA here the last few days…sorry about that…it’s been insane here…

I have decided that I am not going to rent a lift…definitely going to go the ladder route…I don’t want to be under pressure to finish a portion of the job to get he lift back in time…You guys are correct…it may just be a bigger headache than I want. I’m going to utilize any helpers I get by doing the most challenging zones first…and then finish up with the areas that I can do on my own or with one other guy.

Sorry @IronLionZion I have had a hectic few days…all good now…It’s been so crazy the last few days, I’ve made about half of what I would need for a decent WFP system!..

The ground is pretty even nearly all the way down…but you only have about 10 to 15 feet of even ground out from the building…then the hill drops off fairly steep…That’s one of my concerns. But you guys definitely talked me out of the lift…I’m going Trad on thus bad boy if I get the bid and plan to just have fun…

UPDATE:
It looks as if my bid may have been accepted!..The Facilities Manager called me up there this morning to give a bid on the main entrance to the Hospital & Emergency Entrance wing! He also asked me to send him an email detailing when I can do the work in August. I’m pretty damn excited!..it is by far the largest job I will be doing and It’s going to be a HUGE boost for my business. I have already left my full time job because of the work load I have taken on…and I’m now doing this full time.

This tells me that I can make this a success…Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and advice. I have soaked up every bit of tips you tossed my way…It’s going to make me better at what I have chosen to do!

Here is a picture of the main entrance…not including the Emergency wing off to the left…It’s basically the same setup, just smaller.
