Thinking about adding blind cleaning to my list of services. I need some help on standard pricing for horizontal blinds…
Faux wood blind the size of a regular window I’ll charge $18-20
I don’t do them but the guy I sub out to charges $15-$25 and he has an ultrasonic machine. I have the plans to build the blind butler set up but havent done it yet. How do you plan to clean them?
On the Island you can pretty much set the price at whatever you want.
I’m at $10. Only takes about 5 minutes.
Do you only dust em? 5 minutes isn’t much time for a full cleaning
We only do wood and faux wood. We close them and dust them with a Swiffer quickly to remove about 75% of the dust. Then while closed we spray them with a cleaner. Then we open them and remove the cleaner them with a towel slat by slat. They look great and only takes about 5 minutes. We don’t take them down, we clean them in place.
What kind of cleaning solution? Would pledge work?

Sounds pretty simple. Do you get many calls for this? I have really wanted to get into blind cleaning on a larger scale than just add on.

How do you clean them?
Metal and plastic – WFP on AstroTurf on driveway. Remove and rreplace
faux wood – hang, spray, and wipe outside on rack. Remove and replace
wood – dust only in place

Do you think Pledge works better than Endust?
Most companies will charge more for wood blinds. The industry standard is 12$ minimum.
Where do you find info like that?
Go to websites that post blind cleaning prices mainly. It’s a generic industry standard, but I used to have 4 BIG ultrasonic tanks and did this pretty hardcore for a few years. An average 4’wide blind would run aprox. 14 dollars. There is time involved accessing the blinds, removing them cleaning them, drying, re-hanging them. Especially if you have to wet wash them. 10$ is what I would consider charging if they had 100+ blinds 4’Wx6’L But I’m a highballer.
I don’t do any of that.
