Blue Unger Ninja @ Home Depot?

Spotted what looks to be a Ninja handle at Home depot for $18 and change. The included channel is generic with no branding but it still costs almost ten dollars less than the regular ninja handle. Does anyone know if this is a garbage lookalike (like the HD extension poles) or if it’s decent quality at a lower price point?

The comparable stuff I’ve tried is of lower quality. Lowes has ettore poles, but they’re not built as well as the pro model. But they have the advantage that the collars and handle are actually freakin glued where as the gold one I have to glue straight out of the box.

My guess is that this is a ninja handle, but it’s not going to be as robust as the pro version.

I would think its in the same quality (for homeowners) and most like cant handle a beating [quote=“Samuel, post:1, topic:36948”]

I havent tried one, just an opinion…

Looks like crap. I wouldn’t waste the cash when squeegees are so cheap already. How often do you really break one, rarely ever.

The poles however are decent and good enough for gutters and storefront poles. If we break or lose them, don’t really care too much.

They might be decent quality. But honestly this probably isn’t the best place to discuss that seeing as how WCR sells the Ninja handle. I would like to know too but out of respect for the owners of this forum you should seek that info somewhere else. Just my opinion.

I’ll use the 8 footer two section and have no experience with the 12 footer but they can keep the twenty footer complete waste of money. It will make you look like a fool in front of customers.

I’ve been Rollin with the hd blue Unger 8 footer for four months now on storefront and that thing rocks. When it breaks I’ll go buy another.

Why not just call Unger and ask them what the difference is?

It’s in the connection hardware. The green pro tools have tighter tolerances and are replaceable. The blue tips are glued in and aren’t made to be replaced.

The blue stuff is a lot cheaper quality. Check out the FULL line up of the Unger Pro Tools for best results.

Will the Blue squeegee work for a day if you lose your squeegee on a job site? Sure

Would you want to work with it every day? No Way it won’t last more than a couple of weeks.

It doesnt have the quick release on it. I agree with @ShopWCR… stuff doesnt last. Good tools do a good job IMO.

I use the blue unger squeegee with a brass 22in ettore channel. I absolutely love it. Although, it does not have a quick release. It has teeth holding the rubber under the handle. I also use brass clips holding the rubber in place in the ends as well. The thing is a damn scalpel, even though it takes a minute to change rubbers.

I can vouch for this. I’ve purchased a couple Ettore poles over the years at lowes when I was in a pinch. They both lasted about 2 months .

It’ll work in a pinch when the guys take your stuff home or you get jacked from the last ccu. I know, trust me.

Without adding two brass clips to the channel it is trash. But if you do put in the clips, I think it works like a dream. Using it with brass 22in channel.

been using it for 3 months, no problems. Not my first choice, but its does the job. bought a sorbo and NOW i dont like it any more, the H/D unger that is. what im sayin is, if you dont know any better its ok, but once you try a few “pro” squeegies…you be like, how the heck did i ever use that thing!

Same. I used the 20" from my backflip as my main squeegee for two months. Then I got an Ettore (contour?) handle and it fits my hand, doesn’t slip. Then I got a 30 inch sorbo for these big boys.

What a time saver. I used to do these with a 14 inch Home cheapo Unger!

Don’t get me wrong, I love my Sorbo but the wide body channel can get in the way at times. My first choice while in a chair has always been a 22 or 24 Sorbo on a ninja handle.
