Hello, my name is Bruce McArthur, and I own and operate McArthur Specialty Services. I have been in full time business for about
15 years. I started part time window cleaning about 25 years ago, which led me to add-on a glass related service(auto windshield
chip repair). This led to additional specialized services. In slow times, though, I have found window cleaning to be
always steady and constant. Now, I have decided to expand my window cleaning base and am improving my cleaning
skills with new tools and the latest techniques.( I guess I am an old dog who is willing to learn new tricks)
The windowcleaner.com website forum, and the available videos have been very informative; so much so,
that I am thinking of adding back on residential cleaning to my commercial customers. I really like the WAGTAIL
tools, which leads me to a question. Does the WAGTAIL SWOOP work well for high pole use? Also, does the storm
ease-l or the winmate work well for inside residential cleaning? Probably the first of many questions. Thanks
for any comments or advice.
Welcome Bruce. I’m a little prejudiced when it comes to the Storm Ease-L since I make it but i hated doing storms until I made the easel and now won’t touch them w/out it.
Thanks Tony for your reply concerning the storm ease-l. Although the windowcleaner.com catalog’s picture of the
easel and description is a little weak, it appears to be sturdy enough to hold up to many years of service.( at least the price
would hopefully support my idea.)
How do you setup the easel inside the average home? Do you go from room to room, or find a common point to serve several rooms? Single or double tray? As a one man business, any tool that can save me time(and make me profitable)would be worth considering, so any other tools you would recommend? Again, thank you for your time.

Welcome Bruce
Welcome, Bruce.
It seems that the wagtail endures a love/hate type of existence. Personally, I’ll use a 0 degree or swivel handle any day over a wagtail. But some guys use nothing but wagtails.
Bruce we find a common area on each floor of the home and bring the storms to the easel. I have had my original model (although I’ve altered it 3 times) for 7 years and am needing to replace one of the trays end caps. Would that qualify as durable for you?
It’s been a single tray for us since only one of us does storms at a time.
I’ve become a huge fan of the Unger products. In particular the Ninja line.
