Just curious to know if anybody has used filters for their mop buckets or is interested? Seems like being able to reuse water could be important in water conservation areas ( @Samuel ) or areas with extremely hard water where it would be helpful to have pure water for rinsing. It would be great to always be rinsing the window mop in clean water.
I realize that this particular product is designed for flat mops used on floors, but I am curious as to whether it could be adapted for window mops or if something similar exists.
The video shows the mop being placed in clean filtered water each time. Once the mop is rinsed for several seconds the mop can be pulled out and the WCer goes back to work while the bucket is filtering. At 4:43 this video states that the filtering process takes 3 to 6 minutes , depending on turbidity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dUWBU1LcDQ
I was initially interested in the bucket filter because it would make floor mopping cleaner and I could hire employees who don’t have enough upper body strength for string mops.
My two biggest clients are banks (full office cleaning 6 days a week). The contract does not allow me to bring employees on their premises who have charges involving violence. So, I am looking at ways to make my workplace more accessible for women. My current employee didn’t have adequate upper body strength when I hired her so I have had her doing the floor work (dust mop, string mop, vacuum) the last 3 months and she is getting stronger and smoother. I had to have a lot of patience the first several weeks but it is paying off because she has a good work ethic.
