California window cleaners are wimps!

I cleaned windows yesterday in 29 degree weather with 18 MPH winds and froze my butt off! The whole time I was doing it I was thinking about you guys back east and thinking how in the heck do those guys clean windows in these temps?

Look at the picture. I am bundled up like an Eskimo.

We are spoiled in California!

I love it! Confessions of a Cali wcer!:smiley:

ask some of us Canadian WC’s about winter window cleaning up here haha i have cleaned windows in -40 degree Celsius wit ha windchill of -50. This past winter the coldest I endured was -31 degree’s Celsius with a windchill of around -45C. Funny part is we are the same ones complaining when the temps and humidity hit the 30-40 degree Celsius mark in the summer too haha

hey what is that white stuff on the ground? I know it’s not snow, because snow goes over your knees.

HAHA, you shouldve stayed man…San Diego is calling bro…:stuck_out_tongue:

See attached photo, 2 weeks ago @ our shop. About 2.5 feet on the ground.

We (NorCal) had a couple inches again Tuesday night, but I was cleaning in low-thirties temperatures bright and earlier yesterday myself.

I guess the reverse is true. We clean windows in 120 degree heat during the summer.

That’s hilarious! Out here we get .10" inches of rain and all the news stations go on “Storm Watch”

============================

Out here in Southern Cal we go on “storm watch” for 2 inches.

What I hate is that we get 100+ degree days w/ 90% humidity in the summer and -50F days in the winter (at that temp I don’t care what the windchill is because I ain’t going out unless the house burns down). Truly the worst of both worlds. Not quite as cold as Canada and not quite as hot as Louisiana or California but definitely a bigger swing in temps than most places.

What do you do if you have a weekly job and you get heavy snow?

Do you pro rate it?

I only do residential. We have some monthly houses so we can usually find a day or two in each month where it’s not inhumanly cold.

now thats snow, at least its a good start

Been there and done that in Montana where it is snowing as I write.
