I got a call today from a NSP about bidding on 56 starbucks in a 75 mile radius (except 3) They asked my if i would bid per store or price all the stores the same because of the volume. I was wondering if I could call or somone could call me so that I could pick thier brain about bidding on this? I have been searching around online for free route planning software so that I can have an idea of time and cost to get to all of these stores. They sent me a spreadsheet of all the locations that need servicing. Any advice would be most helpful as of course they want the bid in 5 days.
Thanks in advance for all the help that you guys are gonna give me as you always do!!!
Good question!!! I checked out thier website and have tried to dig information about them all day since they called. I have found that they work with most of the super big box places i.e Kohls, Sams Club, Wlamart, Chick Fil’a… mostly painting and build outs. Windows does not seem to be thier thing???
I don’t have anything as far as actual routing, but if you want to get a general look at where all the stores are located you could use this website : batchgeo.com
You can basically copy/paste your speadsheet, adjust a few labels if neccessary, and see all the locations plotted on a map (instead of typing every single address into mapquest or whatever).
I found it useful to at least have a general idea of my travel.
Thats pretty much the story. I dunno if anyone got the bid yet. The Starbucks up the block from me was on the list and the windows still look like dook.
Thats a pretty cool link but I wouldn’t neccessarily bank my price quotes on those pics.
For example, Montclair Church and Park Street is my local sop. The picture shows the store to the left, which in the photo is unoccupied. The store actually extends another 6 windows to the right, which isn’t pictured.
Also, Westfield has much more glass than is pictured, Atlantic City is glass on the opposite side of the buiding too, and Upper Montclair is less glass than it looks like.
With Google Streetview, you can zoom in and see what is where and see insode so you don’t over/under bid it.
