Can you make an unger 38' pole?

Can you put together these two and make a longer pole?

Yes, but not with the Optilok just the teleplus. I think mine goes up to 45 foot - & heavy!

the Optilock and Teleplus are two different systems and they will not perfectly connect. But teleplus poles can be added onto again and again up to 30’

I can’t remember the trick or section - but there is a way of making it go higher to 45 feet. I haven’t done it for at least 5 years.

In what combination are you assembling this?

Counting the base section as #1, what come next to get to 45’?

Sorry, just saw your other post.

I’d have to get the poles Mark - I haven’t done it for a while, but there is a trick with one of the sections (I think it was #7 section) to get it higher. Or it may have been a special put out by Unger. But Peter at Aquatech sold them this way - I only ever did it once it was so heavy to work with.

John Riley told me that there is a way of combining an Ettore system and Unger system to get to 40’. I may look into it further and report back.

This one pole is all Unger. I have a feeling that you remove the bottom base cap & add a thread & revert to the next thinner section.

Its not something I will be looking into again. They are just too heavy too be working with on long durations. And when you get a few skin pinches between thumb & forefinger - it starts getting you down.

There are plenty of light alternatives out there…

Yeah this is the same pole that we got years ago and its very heavy when up i think the middle section is the key to get it even higher tho.

I maybe wrong
