second day out with the new wagtail.

i take it with me and eventually get fed up and use my unger again.

i think the angel you hold the W/T is a little different from other squeegees, do you agree? i try different angels and at times i get a clear swipe then if i vary it it leaves h20 on the glass. is that all it is the angle i need to perfect?

also, that red rubber it came with…i wonder if that is the problem, it seams way soft. im gonna try different rubber next time.

i would appreciate any tips!

it really pisses me off cause i spent $40 for it and that’s a lot to me, but i thought it would be great for pole work, but it just slows me down and frustrates me.

Change the rubber… & keep at it, you will love it. I had the same experience with my 1st Wagtail. Put it down for a year then tried again and it became my favorite tool at the time…it is slightly a different angle and test different pressures to find the sweet spot. :slight_smile:

Different but not bad. Try thinking push the leading edge around instead of drag the squeegee on the glass. Incidentally more slip (dawn) will help with the learning curve. You’ll also find you get less mileage with a blade. Ettore anyway.
