Changeable letter sign

I recieved a bunch of these (with numerous letters, symbols, etc) for free today. Think these would look ok in front of a home as you’re working?

no

I dunno… at first I thought it looked tacky. But after actually putting our name and number on it, it really doesn’t look half that bad. Free advertising. It stands out more than your average “yard sign”. It would really get a potential customers attention, IMO.

I’ll bet it does.

LMFAO!!! OMG it hurts!!!LOL

With you man… Why waste time, get out there and make some $$ effectively… not hopefully

Get some bandit signs for less than $5.00 each. Then you can just leave them at the job site for a few days.

Thats fine and dandy, I’m open to all opinions. However, you’ve yet to give me a reason why not. I can understand at first glance you may think they are a little tacky, but only because you probably have other signs. I’ll emphasize “YOU MAY THINK”. WHat would a customer think? I don’t have a truck yet with a wrap or decals. When we are cleaning a residence, their neighbors don’t know that we are even there, let alone what we are doing. You’re missing the whole point of this buddyo. It may not get me every customer, but I HIGHLY DOUBT any potential customers driving by are going to say, “OMG! Look at their sign! I would never call them”. But thank you for your pleasant (and slightly smug) remarks, all are welcome!

Looks good man I think it will work. Better then nothing. Throw a vinyl logo on the top part and put in your info, coupon, etc. I could make you a vinyl logo for it. I’ll trade for one?

Hey the signs were free right? And they don’t hurt your business in any way…right? So the only real outcome of throwing up a free sign is that somebody calls you and you get another job to do.

So whats wrong with that? Now if you were paying big money then I would suggest a different way of advertising. However, if its free and does no harm, then its all good.

I would not pay to have a sign twirler person advertise for me…however if someone said they were bored and wanted to make a nice sign and go stand on the corner and dance…then by all means-- go for it.

These signs are the same thing. If someone gave me some of those I would throw them up on a lawn while I worked too. I wouldn’t have bought them…but if they are free thats another story.

I have to admit though, they are eye-catching in a weird way. I mean, if I saw one on a lawn, I would have to read it. However, if I saw the typical yard sign, I would probably not bother to read it. But maybe thats just me… I like zombies too, so…

In your original question you asked what WE thought… not your potential new client driving by. Sorry you didn’t like my answer.

I think they would work great. Lawn signs are a dime a dozen and no one looks twice at them unless they are seriously looking for a lawn service. I have (3) 4 ft by 4 ft signs that I was using in a window display on a main highway here a few years ago. I still use them today. When the employees stop at a home, the signs come out an they are hung on the sides and back of the trailer. They can be seen at least 50 yards away and easily read from just as far. Look, if you listened to every tom dick and harry about what you should do with your business. You will end up like every tom dick and harry. Thinking outside the box is a good thing. Give it a try and see how it works. Don’t over load the sign with too much lettering. People will only have a couple of seconds to read it. IE WINDOW CLEANING STOP HERE!!!

most of my customers don’t like the yard sign rather than that monstrosity. i say sell it to a store front customer.

chain that sucker to a street light and see how long it last.

or to the back of a ups truck. Lots of stops, great exposure, potential clients. ya ya ya !
