Cheapest Pure Water

Need to go back to work but basically a backpack like neverpump. I have built my own tank set up after using the hudson but I like the 5/16 hose from WCR. I like the 2.1 gpm diaphram pump but have a cheaper 1 or 1.1 gpm vs the Hudson’s .7gpm. Pump can mount to anything. Power? Comes with 12v for car adapter or if find a used battery pack sprayer you can use that battery or any battery. Hudson is 1.5 amp (?) which is why it pumps forever. My pump is 8 amp but batteries are cheap unless you get an old car/motorcycle battery and a smart charger from walmat and/or a AC to 12v adapter. Poles and brush are your personal pref. I switched to a dual trim flocked type. Scrubs my glass better. Everyone likes their own thing. Poles. Let the others suggest a good affordable pole. I am still in decision phase so use a small Brodex and Teleplus Unger for higher. Just a few ideas thrown out there.

Hey jack,
tried to pm you but couldn.t figure it out. Was wondering how you like your 2.1 gpm pump?? how mush hose can you push water through??

Thanks,

Will

Man their dropping like flies. First Ben and now Jack! At this rate, everyone that posted to this thread will be gone soon.

I hope not…LOL

Seems to me that the cheapest way to pure water is rainwater harvesting. Connect a 500 or 1000 gal. tank to your home or workshop guttering system and sit back and collect free pure water. Then pump it into a truck mounted tank (overnight) and you’re ready to go the next morning. The only money you have in the system is the cost of the tanks, plumbing supplies, a couple of pumps and a battery to power the truck-mounted pump. A place near me sells 250 gal tanks for $85 and 55 gal plastic drums for $12. All food grade. For $600 - $800 you have everything you need, and from then on out - free pure water. No more replacing RO membranes and buying new resin. Environmentally friendly too. What’s not to like? BTW, I tested the TDS on rainwater coming off my roof: 5 TDS off the side I had cleaned, and 8 TDS off the dirty side.

What a funny thread :
