Cleaning Plexiglass

What do you use to clean plexiglass? I get the heavy stuff with an applicator and squeegee. Then I use Pledge Furniture Polish. Been doing this for about 20 years and works better than anything else I’ve tried. Anyone else tried this?

I use de-solv-it mixed with hot water and a little ecover. Don’t know why it works, but it does.

I realize this is kind of an old thread. But here goes anyway. I talked to a prospective customer today and she remarked to me that she has several interior windows that are Plexiglas. I looked at them and she said that here current window cleaner just uses a microfiber cloth with no cleaning solution as this is “the way” they should be cleaned. I have never heard in 25+ years of cleaning windows that this is “the way” that they should be cleaned, only that ammonia should never be used to clean Plexiglas or window tint. Is there an “official” way that Plexiglas has to be cleaned?

Just use soap an gg4 , or just soap. One thing … forget about trying to carve those type of Windows squeegee don’t move good . Straight pulls. I mean you could try , but every time I try I re wet an straight pull it.

Microfiber and sprayaway.

I have found that a “California Squeegee” found at the auto parts store works well on plexiglass.
The window and the squeegee need to be wet and then just squeegee and detail as normal.
