Cleaning the brush base of your water fed pole brushes

So after the busy Xmas period I’ve give the brushes a good soak in soapy water and cleaned them up. Just wondering does anyone have a good tip at cleaning the base of the brush we’re the bristles come out. There’s al sorts of scum and cobwebs that won’t come out. Thanks guys happy Xmas

I used a big comb or wire brush
