Try using the search bar, it is directly under the “Need Help?” button.

CCU can take 3 to 4 times as long per window as washing, price accordingly. Scratching is a possibility if other contractors (dry wall, stucco, silicone) are messy, get a damage waiver. Every material left on the window is different and there is not a 1 size fits all remedy. Look closely at the glass and frames. Take pics if there will be others in after you give the bid. I gave a floor stripping bid to a church community center. Then they had the congregation come in and repaint walls and ceilings and used nothing to cover the floors. They did not understand why I wouldn’t do the job for the price

I like to spray down the glass with Hi-SHEEN let sit a few then come back and wipe with steel wool 0000 or blue towel. Then clean. The Hi-SHEEN makes all the heavy dirt and silicon disappear. Don’t forget to carry a heavy duty toothbrush to clean out the frames real good. Residential CCU needs to have the frames cleaned out. You may need a back-pack vacuum if you get a lot of these jobs. Good luck. That’s a lot of work. Hope you have help.

Brad, there is a lot you can find by searching. If you put “ccu” into the search box you’ll get several good threads on the first page. Of course this one is on page 1. But there are several pages. If you come up with specific questions, we can help better that way. It is definitely a different game 90 or more percent of the time.

also search “fabricating debris”, “fabrication debris” and “tempered glass”
