Company Vehicle

I am looking for a new company vehicle and am looking for some suggestions, I lug a portable DI water setup and pressure washer along with a couple ladders, pole etc…What kind of car/truck are other companies on here using? Any suggestions will be helpful

We started out in a minivan and just upgraded to a full size cargo van. Although the mileage isn’t great the ability to carry all my equipment and a small water tank for wfp work is more than enough to compensate. Add to that it’s a big rolling billboard once you letter it up and I think you’ll find it a solid investment.

Dodge Omni

That is a nice setup

That is a nice setup

glh?

I haven’t put any effort into selling this van so it is still available. Excellent window cleaning rig.
Van for Sale

Sweet reference, Larry

Haha.

Hey Mark,
If Troy is talking about the van I seen at the AUWC regional, you are gonna love it! He has his pressure washer in there, 2 cox stackable hose reels, looked like an R3, his poles, everything fit in there nice and neat. Plus, the real estate on the outside is unbeatable. You get a great eye catching wrap and your gonna put me out of business!

Also, the Toyota Tacoma and the now Ford F-150 4 doors have a 5500 cash incentive right now, the ford dealership in PB will put you in that truck man. The 150 dialed in is at about 45,000. Wrap that bad boy and you will definitely turn heads and make me jealous.

Nothing says successful professional like a great vehicle man. It also says “I aint cheap” dont call unless you can afford me:D

We use a long bed extended cab that works out well. But we’re usually pulling a trailer and have at least three guys. If two man crew is typical, I might go with a van.

Full size van, all the way. I’ve got a full size chevy 3500 express, with the extended wheelbase, and it’s absolutely great. They’re abundant, they last forever when maintaned (one of mine has 300,000 miles now and still runs like a champ) and you’ve got all the room you’ll ever need.

I agree with the posts above though that a clean, presentable vehicle is very important. But you can get vans that meet this criteria all day long for way less than new prices.

Agree with the van advice, also I won’t drive a $45K truck to wash windows, but that’s just me. It would really slow me down, because I’d be super extra careful around it

I am a 1 man operation so for me my 06, 4door, tacoma works well 4 me. Even though it’s a long bed , the bed is just an over sized glove box. Everything has it’s place. Besides, when the gas pedal sticks I save all kinds of travel time. What a +

Most here have seen my truck posted before and not sure if your new, but 4 what it’s worth, here is a pic

Also you don’t want to show up in a nicer rig than what your customers are drivin.

This is perhaps the coolest window cleaning rig I have ever seen. Great job, Art!

Steve you should see it in person… Its really, really nice!

I have done lots of research on wcing vans and looked at many different setups. If you are wfping and pressure washing then the Dodge Sprinter with the 5cyl diesel turbo is the best. You can stand up in the back with the high ceiling and lots of cargo space. It is really a Mercedes with a Doge sticker. The best part is you get 24-28 mpg. No work van on the market with that good of mpg and room. Check out Portland Window Cleaning Waterworks setup He uses it for Presurewashing. Check ebay for a 2003 or 04 This is before they went with the V6 and added all the emissions crap that takes away from mpg

I see more guys driving pickup trucks than vans but I prefer a van. Everything, including 28 foot sectional ladder, inside under lock and key safe and dry.

Welcome back my friend.
