I have been in business for 10 years and could potentially be relocating and if I do it will be from ground zero. I would be relocating from a small town everyone knows everyone to a larger (not new york big) but a larger city. How do you tackle starting up and getting accounts when you’re gonna have bobs on storefronts and do everything companies on other jobs. You want to get mid size waterfed pole one guy only work and they say we’ll they do our soft wash, Xmas lights gutters etc. My ideal jobs will be couple hundred dollar outside only offices to few thousand dollar one guy waterfed only jobs
Is there any reason you aren’t willing to take on residential as well?
Absolutely, if I relocate I want my business to be as automated as possible. The jobs scheduled recurring on the customer factor, email reminder goes out, I clean the windows, Invoice & thats all. I currently do about 80% residential and thats where all the changes and extra work is. They call you, text you, email you, change the scope of the work the day of, forget to tell you oh there’s construction going on here, need specific day and time, get sick and don’t want company etc etc. If I was 100% commercial all I would do is wash windows & invoice and let automation do the rest. Homeowners are the ones that change your days, change the work, cancel during rain and call, text email on days off and days on
