Yeah I wached that a few times. I don’t see anything fun about that tho.

Sorry. I used to be a Soldier. Its called ‘black humor’. You usually find it in jobs where danger is involved.
If you are familiar with the use of Satire then you will get it. The word fun isn’t meant to be taken literally. Obviously its not fun per se.

I was trapped once in a cradle which had stopped at one end and finished up lop sided 110’ up. For myself and my buddy it was funny to see the crowds gather below us to observe the spectacle. The staff in the building were concerned for our safety. We simply sat down and enjoyed the break from window cleaning.
When the Fire dept turntable ladder arrived we simply climbed out of the cradle and down the ladder much to the amusement of the firefighters who were meant to rescue us. Both they and us knew that we were competent at heights.

I should have known better though as its pretty peculiar to the British male mindset. Like the time back in the 80’s when the SAS were about to storm the Iranian Embassy in London, one of the guys turned to his mate before going through a window and said “Hey if you don’t make it can I get the contents of your locker?” The two of them nearly dissolved into fits of laughter before going into the embassy and killing the terrorists.

:D:D!

the only way for the above to happen.

no counterweights, or too much slack on the gantry. or the hooks was too far out and the scaffold was free to swing right around…

seems lot to common to happen in the states.

Yep. There should have been counter weights at the end of each cable
