My new favorite tool is a $3.99 grout brush I got from Lowes. I still use my mechanics parts washer type brush for cleaning tracks, but this grout brush is way cool. It has stiffer bristles that bust out the grime like crazy mad, and is narrow so it fits in the tracks easily.
Anyone else have a window cleaning tool that was not made for cleaning windows?
I use my Leatherman tool on almost every job for a variety of things. Gotta love the versatility.
I use a plastic stiff bristle grout brush form Wally World for loosening dirt & grime from tracks then vacum with the Dewalt hand held vacum.
These are not necessarily my favorite tools though. I love all of the tools I’ve settled on.
Probably the one single tool that I’m so thrilled about and amazed at how efficient it is is the SCRIM cloths that I use. Throw those hucks away & git yoself some scrim man!
I use a grout brush for tracks too. It does wonders.
I recently bought this tool…for no other reason than that it looked cool. Everybody that sees it says they want one.
I have always enjoyed a nice thin 5 in 1 or 5 way (what ever you call them) putty knife. Works great for screens. I also use it for blinds and a ton of other stuff.
When was the last time you cleaned a window? besides…arn’t you a Mac guy?

hmmm last week at my house… And it works great with a mac or a pc… But seriously I would have to go with my leatherman.

Dude, the last time I touched a Mac I was playing the “Oregon trail” on a APPLE IIe! The good old days. hell, does anyone even remember 5 1/2 inch floppies? ha ha ha. I hear these new macs are pretty sick though. I will have to check one out. from what I hear it will be the final touch to my music studio.

Hey Shawn, this is actually a small paint scraper. I get them at Sherwin Williams where I pick up many other supplies. I found this gem about 5 years ago and carry it on my tool pouch to help remove the interior glass panels. It’s works beautifully to slide in behind the storm frame and give you something to pull on.
Screw Driver, Paint Brush are abused quite often.
I’ve got a custom grout brush and by custom i mean i cut down the top plastic so it can fit in the corner better.
I actually have 2 brushes one 2.5" long fine bristles and one 1 inch short hard bristles
2 screw drivers, one Philips and flat
Gotta love the steel wool also.
I’ve tried 5 in one tool and screw driver works just as good and takes up less space
I have two pouches on my belt one up front for handy stuff and a small one on the back for steel wool.
