What’s the best method to trim a squeegee channel’s length down to make a custom channel?
Hacksaw

…Sharp hacksaw
A welding shop can do that for you. A high school friend of mine cuts channels to size for me in seconds.

Your standard co2 laser will cut it. Or a simple plasma cutter if you don’t have the laser available.
Or a twenty dollar cut saw from harbor freight.

To me, it depends on how many you want to cut. A hack saw and file will do an adequate job for a squeegee every now and then. But if you’re looking for a little more precision and speed, a 6" cut-off saw (like the one from harbor freight) might be a worthwhile investment. I use mine for so much more than just squeegees. I epoxied pieces of squeegee rubber to the inside surfaces of the clamp, so it will hold channels and other objects more securely.
Btw, you’ll still need a file or some type of de-burring tool with the cut-off saw.
Thanks for all of the help. I appreciate it.
