Deep windows!

So, yesterday I did some residential windows and the interiors were ridiculously deep. Like 5 inches deep!! Any tips on how to get those things done without leaving marks that I have to detail?? How do handles like the ledger and ledgeze work on deep windows??
Also anyone use the super fine steel wool for hardwater removal? Ive been using it for on couple months on hardwater stains and its been awesome. No mess and I just squeegee the glass clean afterwards.

use a ladder…cha ching

Maybe try a zero degree, takes a little practice but can help you close out on those deep sills. I have a ledger in my garage that I almost never use, let me know if you want to borrow it to “try before you buy”

CLR or Mdr with fine (000) or (0000) grade steel wool will work. The ledger will work or a zero degree squeege. Good luck!

Don’t waste money on a Ledger! Get a zero degree swivel squeegee and you’re set.

I wasted money on two Ledgers that sit in a junk box.

I prefer the Unger Zero Degree Swivel Squeegee but some like the Contour Pro that has zero degree capability and also swivels. Either one will be more useful than a Ledger.

I have been using the Ledger for years. Works great on 2 story work or windows over doors.

Solution to deep sills.

Marc, thanks for posting all of that! Once you get your hands on the Unger 0 degree swivel handle the Ledger suddenly becomes old school.

My Unger 0 degree stays on the truck while my two Ledgers rest in the junk box at home. I just don’t use the Ledgers anymore.

My Unger 0° is in my bucket on every-single-job. Seriously.

Thanks for all the tips! those things have been getting me so frustrated lately

I Have been using my Ledger for yrs also. I love it. Why pull a ladder out to do some windows when a Ledger will do it much easier and faster.
I have not used the 0 deg handle yet. I might try one in the future . just my opinion
