Did I over bid this job?

This home was 2060sqft two stories. 50 Window panes, 3 French doors 13 small window panes and 12 screens. I gave them an estimate of $500 for inside outside tracks and screens plus $50 more for two small awnings so a total of $550. She told me someone else gave her price of $250 for windows only.
She’s also 35 miles away
My window prices were too high for her but i got the awning job for $120 (because I have a $120 minimum)
I’ve been doing awnings for sometime and just added window cleaning service so still learning this part of the business Just wondering if I over priced this
I know rates vary by location, this home is in south Orange County California

I’d prolly have charged around $3-350ish not including awnings.

I go back May 6 to do the awning cleaning but would like to do their windows too or at least give them a call with a better price Do you think that would be a good idea or should I just do the awnings. I also don’t wanna completely loose the job. How would you go about it and what would you say

Assuming that you are doing both inside and outside cleaning of the windows and tracks plus 12 screens and both sides of 3 French doors - I would say between $608 ans $756.

At $250 for windows only, that is less than $2 per side for each winodw and the French doors are free - AND 70 miles round trip!

Don’t write your business plan off of Bucket Bob’s who lives in shoe.

$120 just for an awning 35 miles away? She didn’t accept your window cleaning bid though?

Thanks for the advise I was confident when I gave her the price but started second guessing my self when I came home. I’ve heard the term bucket bob and that’s the last thing I’m trying to be

by 50 window panes, and 13 small panes, I’m not sure what you mean by that. Because a 2k sq. ft home shouldn’t have 63 windows. Thats a small house.

So I’m assuming they were true divided windows? The kinda tic tac toe windows?
If so, then yeah you were too high. Thats a 3.5 hour job max. WVWindowWashing (the first guy to respond) is dead on with his price, I’d have been at the same level right there.

Definitely won’t travel 35 miles for 120$ tho.

Yes, but one never knows. The house can be all windows. I have had a couple like that, also had some big homes with less windows. Go figure.

Jose, adjust these prices to suit your needs.

2000 square foot home with that many windows sounds like a greenhouse to me. But I may be wrong…

Where do you get a window pricing sheet like this?

I made that one based on a similar one I saw on the internet. I changed it up and made to suit my needs.
