Drones Cleaning Windows

Marcus Fritzsche says “Let the drones clean for you!” In the century of the “Internet of Things” and “Smart Home” it is time to automate also window cleaning. Our drones clean glass facades and roofs even at great altitudes. Our technology is applicable for almost every window size and window form. Read More

Interesting idea. You could eventually use software to map the window and make sure it gets the whole thing sort of like the roomba.

I just wonder how much you’d have to pay in FAA fees and licenses since they’re going to regulate anything over like 8 oz…

If I would have seen this a year ago, I’d say nah. But seeing the advances in self driving technology, and the advances in computers being able to identify objects, people, etc with no human interaction, This actually is almost logical. I don’t know if that design is realistic, but someone can figure it out.

I know there’s a post around here somewhere where we were discussing the future of high rise with Automated window cleaning machines coming of age. There’s a lot of buildings that can’t be done with those machines but a drone wouldn’t have those limitations.

This technology is still probably about 10 years out or so, but given how fast the last 10 went it will be here before we know it.

I was thinking maybe a drone with a WFP hose attached running from the roof. Maybe put something on the front to scrub the window (thinking along the lines of a shoe buffer) and then rinse with pure water.

I guess I can still foresee quite a few problems.

My guess would be some sort of a holding take with di water.
