Did a quick search and did not see much on the subject, so thought I’d ask the veterans what they do. Over the last week of cleaning a fair amount of glass in cold, windy weather, my hands are real dry and chapped to the point they hurt. Suppose that is just part of the deal, but if anyone has any tricks or something they use to help, I’d appreciate the advice. Also, if the answer is “toughen up, Princess”, I guess I’ve got that coming.
Actually google it - urine therapy for chapped hands is actually a real thing and supposedly works well.
Years ago I read a story in readers digest about a guy working on a fishing boat and had them really bad - an old sailor told him to pee on them, he thought the dude was pulling a fast one and then secretly did it because they were so bad and he was willing to try anything - and it worked. I have a feeling that it stays a “wives tale” because who wants to admit to pissing on their hands?
Funny about the urine…there is another thread today about it’s cleaning powers, but in the newbie forum, it sounds like some sort of fraternity hazing deal. I will be trying non #1 based remedies for now. If they get worse, then all bets are off.
