I am starting to by equipment to start my business. now i am trying to determine if a wfp system would make more money then the dryer vent system.
the dryer vent system seems to be fast money ranging from $50 to $125 for about 1hr of work. the problem, i dont know what the demand for dryer vent cleaning is in Austin, tx and surrounding area i do know that there are some companies that do dryer cleaning and nothing else so their must be some good money and demand for the service.
as for wfp i have a love hate relationship with them i hated the pole when i was in residential but we were using ipc hydro tube and i hated the system i felt that it was hit or miss and didnt work well on houses that had not been cleaned in a year or more. now that im in commercial we use a dual di tanks 1 cu ft each and this system produces way better results. but i have never used this set up in residential but i assume it works just as well in residential. and i know that this system is a real money maker as well
the complete dryer vent system is about $1560 (Dont know demand or how well it sells but price for service seems good for scope of work)
WFP $2100 for 2 1cuft di tanks and 2 reach it mini poles from WCR ( i know it makes work faster in commercial and residential and make my money back quickly but i personally think nose to glass looks better than WFP )
just looking for other peoples perspective or which system they would choose to buy first and why

Which dryer vent system r u looking at the one that attaches to a drill or the one that uses and air compressor and a skipper ball. The air compressor is the way to go super fast very professional and less likely to cause the dry vent tubing to come apart if it’s a long run. If the tubing comes apart inside the wall it not going to be fun cutting in their wall to find it and then reattach it… Buy it right the first time
i was looking at the nikro brush system mainly because i am not sure how clean the compressed air system would leave the duct with out brush and how long will it take to clean duct with compressed air. i would think you would need a reverse ball first and then the shipper ball. if the duck is really clogged than a forward ball with high psi would be needed.
i think i will have to go wi the di set up instead of dry vent system and do more research on dryer vent system

I have done 5 initial cleans using wfp with awesome results, since end of feb. Some of which had been 5 years plus since last cleaning.
Hogs hair brush only on all but one. That one was t-bar first then hog’s hair… Wfp is another tool in the belt, has some limitations.
But only a few. I use it as much as possible on rezzy or low rise commercial… Use the right brush and you get the right results.
I’ll take saving back ,arms and legs lugging that ladder around and getting off the job 1-2 hours sooner.
I think I will get wfp first. the company I work for only uses one type of brush for everything and that must be why the results I have seen with wfp has been mix and leaving me with a negative view about wfp. But after reading through forum Im positive it is the problem. I will doodle pad the bad windows until I can afford the different kinds of brushes. Really want the constructor brush

I currently have around 6 different brush types. Use the FOC clear dual trim the most for now.
Gardiner sill brush , Unger nLite hog’s hair, IPC speed brush hog’s hair, FOC clear dual trim
These are the ones i use mainly. Gardiner is a good aggressive brush, but don’t like the jet position in brush.
a little to high i think. I can use the dual trim on a initial clean, if i pre-scrub with a t-bar,sometimes i don’t need to.
So sometime just use the IPC instead has more bristles than the unger. Need to get another unger type and maybe a brodex…
Or depending on when the new FOC brush is in full release i may get that instead.
I would suggest getting the unger pad holder over the doodle bug. Way better!! i have one used it on time and sits on the shelf.
Probably time to just chuck it. Pad holder allows me to use a bronze wool pad, white pad or blue pad. I use the midget widget over the reach-around.
That thing snapped way to easy on me… Pad holder rocks!!!
