Hey everyone i got a customer that lives on a nature preserve on is completely off the grid. solar panels, rain buckets, telsa and prius for cars. Anyway he wants me to use vinegar and water to clean all the windows and skylights. I’ve never used vinegar and water does is do a good job? or is there something else someone could suggest. If i could i would just use WFP outside but water hook-ups are not available.
Dawn is biodegradable and non toxic and they use it to clean baby seals and such after oil spills before they turn them into nice warm boots. I think I’d take that route with him.

Most ecological gardeners use dawn to kill off bugs so it’s not so bad.
BUT if you really want to use the best soap available and the most Eco-friendly, I recommend ( and this site does too: Whole Home Detox: The Best Eco-Friendly Dish Soaps | From Faye)
Dr. Bronner’s Magic soap. It’s mostly made of oils.
I use it in the shower to wash hair and body.
Just a cap full in the bucket will do.
Expect to pay $15 a bottle but pass it on to the client and you get to keep the bottle. Or ask them, maybe they already use it.

I remember hearing years ago vinegar and water and newspapers were the best way to clean windows. That might be what the customers thinking. I’d try what clearview said. I don’t think he’d be into pure water if he catches the rain water.
