Effective WFP?

I am new to this WFP stuff. I have been reading your posts for the past day or so and I have a question. am wanting to do 3-4 stories. I’ve never used one of these, how heavy are they? I would just use it on some of the windows that are just too difficult to put ladders up.

I see the pricing is all over the place from 300-3,000. What do you recommend, how has it worked out for you?

Well, the Tucker is probably the cheapest pole to use which is why people will start out with that pole. 3 and 4 story buildings can be done with it but it is heavier than say a gardiner pole.

I strongly suggest you go with a Gardiner Pole. They are 1/3 the weight, and that would reduce the risk of injury and you will not get tired, so you will go faster with fewer breaks. Tucker poles are very heavy and they bend and flex to the point to where they are hard to handle at 4-5 stories.

Amen to that…no way can I do a 4 story building with a Tucker and do a great job…high 3 stories, yeah…but I couldnt even imagine 5 story with a Tucker! Forget it.

Tucker manufactures poles to 83’ in length…

I have used a Tucker pole for the past three years and it has brocken countless times I have replaced sections the with 12ft section and it still breaks and its heavy very heavy
I bought the 12ft section so i could reach not only more height but the weight has done it for me I cant lift it without my sid kick on the roof.

I know. Have you used one at that height? Thats crazy. Maybe I am just not doing it right, but 83’ has got to be insane to work with. I can already invision the pole falling over CRACK

Tucker recommends having a helper on the roof w/ a safety line for the pole at that height.

I’m sure they advise that a second body be on the roof with a tether for safety reasons.
