ErgoTec vs Ninja

Looking at getting a few new complete squeegees. What’s the difference between ErgoTec green handles and Ninja? Also is there a squeegee that’s better to help reduce edge bleed? I use exclusively Unger products but if there’s adaptable pieces that fit on Unger poles/handles, I’m open to suggestion.

The Unger Green Ergotec line works with stainless steel channels. The channel profile has slots in it to go into the quick release function of the handle. There are basic handles as well as pivoting handles in this line.

The Unger Ninja handles work with wide body channels. The Unger Ninja channels weren’t a big hit but the handles are a favourite among users of wide body channels from other brands such as the Slayer, Ettore super channels and Sorbo channels. The Ninja handle is also a quick release system for fast channel/rubber change-outs.

If you are doing mostly residential I’d recommend the green ergotec line. If you are doing mostly commercial jobs and lots of pole work I’d just the ninja handle plus any of the above compatible channels I mentioned.

Very well put Mark ^^^.

Mark is correct.

I love the ninja handles quick release but hate the bulkiness.

The ettore contour pro+ is the shizzzz! but it doesnt fit on unger poles. it swivels and its spring loaded to bend into a 0 degree angle on the fly. totally awesome for closing in on deep edges. but because i use unger poles I had to take the holder portion of the handle off the ninja and put it on the contour pro+. its my everyday channel.

@Beautifulview is the Ninja handle compatible with Ettore or Glydex poles?

I agree with using the Ninja for commercial work…outside. I found it held a lot of water that tends to create quite a dripping issue. The end clips were a p…well, a challenge at times.

I have a few of the Ergotech tools and I like them, especially the scrapers. I started with Unger stainless tools with the flip clip on the handles, decades ago. I still have some. They are really durable if taken care of.

The Ninja handle will fit on the Ettore pole tip as far as pressure fitting goes but isn’t 100% compatible with Ettore’s locking tip feature. I’m unfamiliar with the tip on the Glydex pole so can’t comment on it.
