Ettore vs. Unger

So, as my first round of equipment starts to crumble, I’m debating switching over from my Home Depot Unger specials to Ettore. When I got the first round of tools, I quite frankly didn’t know WCR existed.

I hear everyone singing the praises of Ettore and Slayer, is there really that much of a difference?

Convince me…

Ettore! If you want wide channels then Slayer.

We use Ettore channels and squeegee blades. Ettore strip washers. Triumph 6 inch scrapers. Ettore Bucket on a belt and Unger ergo tech belts.

I concur! (I figured you guys were getting tired of +1:D)

+I concur!

I have been using sor&o for awhile and I just got my ettore stainless squeegees and I like them. I dont like the bulkyness of the sor&o. I also bought a 5" slayer for my cut ups, Im going to buy a 6" ettore and use that!!! Id like to give unger a try!!!

Home Depot has a contract with Unger and Lowes with Ettore. Both Unger and Ettore sale to the big box stores. It is a different line of equipment than what you can purchase here. It is designed for a home owner not a professional Some of he products are the same and the prices are competitive. I did notice at Lowes they have the backflip now and it is the same as we carry here on WCR. But as a general rule the supply houses carry tools for professionals not home owners.

I noticed a month or so ago that my local Lowe’s began carrying a new consumer (junky) Unger line.

We carrry the junkie unger and ettore squeegee and backflip!!!

To convince you, you just gotta buy em bro. I like sorblow, but I dont use them anymore, I use only ettore at the moment because I just like how they feel. I use a pulex boab, and a contractors heavy duty velcro home depot Husky belt.

Ettore, S o r b o, and Unger, are all professional grade and well built squeegees. None are better or worse than the other. It’s a simply matter of personal preference. They all do exactly the same thing.

My personal preference is the Unger ErgoTec squeegees. They are absolutely the ugliest squeegees of all but very comfortable to use while cutting down on fatigue and wear and tear on the joints in the hands.

Performance with the Unger ErgoTec is second to none.

As far as the S o r b o and Slayer channels go, they are great. They perform really well. But you’ll spend a lot more on decent rubber for them than you will with standard style squeegees.

I have bought/ owned various Ettore squeegees and just never cared for them. They are very popular but just not my personal choice.

I use both Unger and Ettore poles and like them both. Unger offers more replacement parts and accessories so I tend to like them best. Matter of fact I’m going to order an Unger 30’ pole today from WCR.

Hi Richard! How’s it going? Not still using those ugly green handles are you?

It may be ugly but it’s the color of money!!! Heehee!

Ettore all the way, I have tried other squeegee channels…scrubbers I love the blue max by j**********, if some one ie(wcr) would get a mircofiber with the scrubbing side of the blue max and make the strip wider would be perfect.
