Here are my two cents about these:
1.) fascinating in each of their own respects
2.) Most are fast in theory, but no edges were detailed
3.) I only saw a towel, one time. Doesn’t anyone wipe the edges anymore?
4.) Speaking of edges, did anyone wipe the sills or ledges?
5.) What about all of the missed spots of water/soap and the streaks that weren’t addressed? You know that there are some with the speed.
6.) My hats off to the Asian guy in the airport. That guy can pop a squat like its no ones business. I bet his knees hurt at the end of the shift.
7.) The Circle Guy was pretty cool. But doesn’t the circle method cause you to go over the same spot on the window several times. That looks like double or triple the work for what—too look cool?
8.) The fellas that are using the poles, especially the guys that walk from one end of the glass to the other (maybe ten to twelve feet ((roughly 2-3 meters for you non- American types))), are they really getting everything of of that glass?
9.) Most of the videos were shot from the outside of the glass perspective. I noticed that there were a lot of really wet scrubbers (mops) and lots of messy water drippings. Do you take that method inside and risk slinging water all over the fancy cars behind you?
10.) Not to belittle any of these videos at all. I think that they are a great exposition of skill and tallent, but how many of them really function like that on a daily basis–all day long?
I hope that I am not being a fool here and totally missing something. I realize that these guys are fast. But as a business owner, I have to question their accuracy and finishing technique. If my guys left the windows like these folks are walking away from them, I’d be out of business in two weeks. The solution, I suppose, to this quagmire is that I assume, and one can only assume here without being present to witness the event, that the completion of the window cleaning (wiping of sills, ledges, floors, fancy sports car behind you that gets dirty, soapy water dropped all over it, and finishing buffing all of the left over streaks) is all taking place when the video is not recording.
This supposed factoid, takes time to go back and complete before you leave. I have said this before and I still believe it, but being fast is good, but having 100% accuracy and control is great!
Now, I am sorry that I am rambling on here. I mean no disrespect to any of the Professional window cleaners in these videos. They obviously all have a great understanding for the job and a wonderful talent. But,as an Owner of a window cleaning business, I find it all a bit silly .
Thanks for listening. Sorry to burn out your eyeballs with all the wording.
