Many of you knew I was trading in the Tacoma for a Tundra and that day finally happened on Saturday.
Bought a 2012 Toyota Tundra Limited dble cab 4x4. As of yesterday I have installed the lift, wheels, step bars, ladder racks, and tints. Can’t put any pics up yet due to waiting for side mounted bed boxes and a drawer system for the bed (all due in by end of month) with the graphix(refreshed, updated, and more edgy than the taco) to be installed first week of August. Will post pics and may even do my first vid to show the setup. The Tundra is much more enjoyable to drive and work out of than the Tacoma but the gas mileage is not as favorable. Will keep you posted.
Hi Art,
I cant wait until the end of August…so I’m heading up in the morning. PS - tell who ever is doing your custom job, that Stu is coming through and he wants the job completed by 1:00pm sharp!
Do you find a lifted truck more difficult than stock height truck? I have stock height Chevy 4x4. It’s pretty low. It’s easy to work out of but I like the look of a lifted truck. I don’t want to spend the money and find it too hard to work from. The side boxes might be a big help.
So true but such an easy trade off for leather heated seats, speech control nav, electric sliding rear window, 10 speaker jbl system, plenty of room and one hell of a canvas for the new wrap. Gonna look wicked.
Art, lemme know if you want a custom grill emblem outta stainless steel with your logo backlit with LED’s. I’m gonna put up some pics as soon as mine is done. Someone stole my last one.
The Tundra is one SICK ride. It’d be hard to win me over on a different truck for sure. Then again, I’ve never been inside one of the lincoln trucks either and they look pretty dialed in too.
I love my tundra. If you want to start modding it out, you can get some ideas from Tundra Talk forums. Congrats man. Well deserved.
Update on the new truck:
Can’t believe a month and a half flew by already since last post here. Picked it up the end of July and have been pretty busy getting it ready. The wrap is the last thing I will be doing to it this year and that should be done next week. Will post pics and maybe even my first vid by next weekend. For the most part it will look nothing like the Tacoma.
