First Day At My First CCU

Pretty much. I know some don’t like CCU, but we do it. Some builders are great with their QC and vendor choices so it is easy. Others, well they pay accordingly.

Yep, I do not negotiate price on a CCU. Almost all try to get the price reduced. I am very comfortable saying “It was nice to meet you, have a great day”.

Woah woah woah man…don’t beat yourself up like that. You show me a window cleaner who NEVER made a mistake on a bid, and I will show you how to get to the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. You ate that one, it happens to everyone. Just don’t let it keep eating you.

CCU are the toughest jobs in the entire business for window cleaning. Hands down. I do a few here and there for the company I work for, I think my last one I had 21 man hours just on the initial cleaning. But man you have a customer for life if you do a good job…I always look at CCU as chances to show the customer what they hired me for. It’s a challenge

On those I would have used a track brush with a japanese filling knife. It’s beautiful - the filling knife doesn’t scratch up frame metal.

On the stickers magic eraser pads - after the paper is removed by wetting with water or solvent.

On the glass I’d have swept with six inch plastic blades.

I have made every mistake on CCU and now I’m very fast but it took years to get here.

That’s all true.

I haven’t tried the product yet but I think Oilflo should be able to deal with baked adhesive.
