What was the actual weight difference between the 2 poles in the end?
The Ettore Hybrid 35ft is 5.84 lbs (2.65kg) and is 10.34m long
The Gardiner SLX30 is 3.75 lbs (1.7kg) and is 9.00m long
That’s quite a difference, I think at that height it’s sometime debatable if weight is really all that important, but a whole kilo could make a lot of difference depending on user. Don’t you make the Ettore poles under license as well Alex?*
This is quite a weight difference as you note - however the 35ft is a good bit longer and is also quite a bit cheaper than the full carbon 30ft, which may make the difference for many clients.
The Ettore blue poles are produced as a joint project between Gardiner and Ettore. Most of these poles are unique to Ettore for the US market including the 35ft Hybrid which offers exceptional strength and rigidity for the price and weight.
