Actually that’s me. And they usually don’t kiss my rings, they just bow to me. And it’s an Aston Martin nowadays. ; )
I really don’t see why anyone would get their nuts in a bunch over this unless you consider them your competition. Which means you’re going for the same lowball jobs they are. Up where Bruce and I live there is a Fish franchise and he is a definitely a lowballer. GREAT!!! Let him keep himself busy working his butt off to scratch out a living for a business model that will eventually fail. While he’s busy with those jobs he doesn’t have time to go after the big profitable jobs that Bruce and I get. We aren’t even in the same league as I see it. I guess it’s just a matter of perception.
And another thing the last time I checked, Fish doesn’t have a monopoly on lowballing. I’ve run across PLENTY of independents over the years who could put Fish to shame when it comes to lowballing. Far be it from me to tell anyone how to run their business but for me it’s much more profitable to focus on how I can make my business the best it can be rather than worry about what the latest lowballer of the month is charging. Because right after he goes out of business, there will be another one to take his place. Wasted energy IMO. Just my 02.

Well said wanna make cash do the big league stuff not little league be knowledgable and thorough and loving what u do will make any of use roll in the dough. lowballing and quick crap service with a crap name and you’ll be rolling in crap
Oh and ps I believe no one here is afraid of the but because we all take passion in what we do it ticks us off when we see someone providing poor crappy service and getting away with it
This thread couldn’t emphasize it enough make a name for urself and save yourself a big pocket of cash and headaches
I see Squeegee Squad & Window Gang are also on the same lines - any + points over FiSH?
I saw that Ruegsegger (on LinkedIn) was promoting the “Squad” on the emyth principle i.e. “work on your business, not in it.” Stating that he could help you change up to manager & not operative, heck, even I had the email for a startup in Spain a few years back. Is that anything any of you would consider?
Along this line of thinking- I wonder how many ‘potential customers’ even know they exist?
Except for builders, shop owners, or others who have some familiarity to the hiring process of window cleaners… most seem to go with the most compelling site content.
[INDENT][INDENT]Personally, I worry more about “Small Fry Window Cleaners,” “XYZ,” and “JoeBob’s Cleaning.”
