Flat Scrubber that Agitates

OK Just finished making a flat scrubber it will take any sleeve scrubber when modified to fit.

It agitates as you move it.

While using 70 - 85 percent of your scrubbing sleeve is on the glass.</SPAN>
Good for scrubbing under handles as it is 1 inch thick.

Here is a flat scrubber it wets and scrubs the glass quick.Without having to put excessive pressure on the scrubber.

That is interesting. Thanks. Did you sew the velcro onto the sleeve? Does it go under door handles well? Is it heavy?

Yes the Velcro straps were sew on just onto the edges of the sleeve they are 2 inch wide.

Although the sleeve that is being used is about 4years old.

Also there is a piece of sponge that was put under that which helps hold more water.

The thickness is only 1inch so it would get under most handles.

It is no heaver then most scrubbing T Bars IMO.

Herman, where are you getting the polypropylene material? I have the bar made, now I need the material to mount it on the handle with the short piece of channel.

You are crafty. You need to produce some of your ideas and get WCR to sell them. I would like to have some of your tools, but I don’t have the skill or desire to be honest with you, to build them myself. What are the advantages of the agitation? Does it let you scrub harder?

Wagtail Mop T-Bar | Window Cleaning Supplies, Tools, Equipment, Products

Karl, I don’t intend to speak for Herman, these are my views about this and why I playing with this. I have just about every thing that Wagtail makes and reguardless of the item there is only a narrow strip of the scrubber used. I think that his idea of more area of the scrubber on the glass and more pressure on the ends to clean the edges has merit in some cases.
Dale.

So Karl do you use this wagtail scrubber?

He man… i have this idea in my head about a scrubber with just one side and its semi-circle and not round… having it semi circle – or One sided cuts the weight in half but still has the same if not more scrubbing area… used in conjunction with a good sprayer or a water bottle if your that type… i think if you can produce a scrubber that reduces the weight in half but not the performance would sell like hot cakes… i have recently bought and been using Steccone…but it seems all a waste of time ( not totally .its just seems ) when your washer on the other hand weighs 8 times as much… when in effect it could be reduced by half ( the weight ) and do a much quicker job because of the loss in weight plus the saving in energy which in turn will give you more earning power or a great saving in energy which ever way you look at it .i will buy one today …

How much Herman have you got pay pal ??? send me one i will pay you over paypal ???

LEt me repeat in another way … A reduction in weight ( around 50 % ) with the same performance would enable that scrubber to sell like hot cakes …its all about the weight reduction which will get peoples eye and want them to buy it…i ´me not sure if the scrubbing surface has to be three inches wide , 1.5 - 2 inches might be sufficient… i cannot comment i have not tried this… i think having it flat or covering more area and one sided like your s is really a good idea. i would love to check it out because i believe there is some potential there… Herman can you send me one with my specifications ? i will pay you for it and for the work you took and obviously the postage too…if i like it and others too i can defo see that WCW could sell these …which would make this WCW forum even more unique . where else could you buy custom tools that really work ?

The Wagtail scrubber is actually firmer & thinner than Hermans copy. You will find that it will have more scrub power because of this (smaller load area = more pressure per inch load). You may also notice the bend in Hermans, which will give you even less pressure. Any scrubber cover can also be loaded on top of the Wagtail scrubber.
Initially I was just pointing out to others that there was an original ready to purchase without having to go the DIY route.

I do use it now & again - but then again the flip pad on most Wagtail squeegees does the same job as the Wagtail scrubber. I find it very useful for going right into corners (which the rounded applicators don’t offer). My main go to scrubber is usually no less than 22", which sadly Wagtail don’t make.

We are absolutely on the same page Karl. I love the Wagtail scrubber, and will try putting another cover over the top.
You are correct, everyone is not so inclined to play/modify, but look how many options have come up in just this thread. The creativity is incredable.
Please post some pictures of your ideas on the other current thread about carts/trollies and how you use different buckets-setups for different jobs.
This is so cool to be able to toss out ideas and debate like gentlemen.
Dale

it looks to be a winner . i also think that regular Tbars are too heavy and could have their weight reduced by half perhaps by drilling many holes in the bar

One other note Karl, different ideas/models of Willy’s Wagtail system have been released or available to different areas of the globe and called different things at different times by different people.

Have made a few sizes here are the dimensions.</SPAN>

Small …….29mm wide x 5mm thick.</SPAN>
Medium….38mm wide x 5mm thick.</SPAN>
Large…….46mm wide x 5mm thick. </SPAN>

May be better to use the medium size for the longer scrubbing bars?</SPAN>

Lighter and plenty of room to have a standard scrubbing sleeve on.</SPAN>

Also be able to put what ever sponges in the sleeve to hold more water.
