Which is better? What are the drawbacks or advantages of either one. Which one should I buy to post videos on Youtube?
I went with the Ultra HD because it holds 2 hours as opposed to 1 hour with the mino HD. Only draw back is that it is slightly larger which to me is no big deal because it’s still small enough. Can’t go wrong for only $200.
Either will suit you needs for uploading video to youtube or other sites.
I would agree with Wayne…
I just noticed I bought the standard defintion one from woot… Im returning it monday for the hd one… just did the switch online.
My point is the picture on the cheaper one thats not hd is good… Real good actually so that may be a option for you.
Either one will get vids to you tube super fast.
I just got the ultra for my anniversary and love it. I barely work anymore, I just go around shooting videos on the job…
It doesn’t have good video editing software though, so if anyone knows of some good, free video editing software for the mac, I would like to know.
imovie - comes free with the mac
I have a ton of “i programs”, but the the imovie is not one of them. I got my mac on craigslist though… Maybe that has something to do with it.
ohh You should pick up the ilife sweet then its included n that… It comes with that:
Imovie
Iphoto
I dvd
garage band
and 1 other thing i think.
well well worth it, I think its under a hundred bucks…
How easy is it to take self video with the Flip?
I just bought a Sony Webbie HD which is OK, but I am having Mac issues and uploading issues to You Tube. With the Webbie it is easy to take self video because the view finder flips around, but it’s not very comfortable to hold.
What say you Flip owners?

Thanks, John.
I figured out what the problem I’m having is. I just haven’t figured out how to fix it. Something about deinterlacing footage. I’m workin on it. I hate computers.
I like how the view finder is adjustable on my Webbie, it’s just awkward to hold. I’m gonna hang in there with this one and see if I get used to it. Everybody raves about the Flip though.
Thanks again, bud!
