This is what makes the forum fun for me. When people demand that threads Stay On Topic that’s boring to me. Sure I appreciate a good thread, but what adds the spice is all the side train of thought posts. Even when I have to say “What the heck is FastFanner talking about?” - it’s just like finding an unexpected pickle on my burger. If you don’t like it toss it to the side and enjoy the rest of the stuff. Have some fries.
People are getting their panties in a bunch from us busting up this place…

Internet forums are in decline and have been for a long time. They are nothing like they were 10-15 years ago. Most people only use Facebook, Twitter, or Reddit now to have “discussions” (which really don’t happen on those sites at all).
#TwitterSucks. Facebook is full of virtual farmers. Reddit is a bunch of deranged kids.
Hey wait… your off buy a couple years there pal, the "“Legend Forum” would miss a few great people!

The forum has grown a lot in the last couple of years and there are a lot of new folks asking a lot of the same questions.
When I first found the forum it seemed like thre was mostly folks already in the biz comparing notes with each other.
Now it seems like wc is becoming much easier to get into with all the info available so may questions are “how do I…?” without having actually tried it first.
I wouldn’t call it boring but it is changingwith so kmany people discovering what may look like an easy living.
The problem isn’t the forum, its the contents there-in that makes it great. Content is only as good as the people providing it. If you look at much of the drivel posts…they add little or nothing to the conversation…even regarding entertainment value.

The last two are 100% pure uncensored wildness. The last one is specifically the dumping ground for grossly off topic posts.
Wanna talk about a wild, unruly, offtopic bunch…motorcycle riders…moto-hobos…and wannabe-moto-hobos .
What makes THAT place great is the collection and flow of knowledge, the entertaining posts, the search return quality, and creativity.
You want to make this place entertaining and quality? Great. Post your craziest clean, 40 stories up…scrubbing the statue of liberties nostrils. Tell your stories of the T&A through the window. Insight worthwhile discussions like “Whats the Top Three Lessons You Learned” (thats a nod to you FF by the way). That thread is awesome…its fun, its serious, its informative…its post after post of interesting anecdotes and insights uninterrupted by dregs like “Me too…”.
When I search for something technical on the MC forum…I know I will get results of either one post or multiple posts within threads. Either someone knows the answer or has a suggestion or its crickets chirping. No wading through silly back and forth potty banter…just to find no one knew the answer to begin with.
WHats great about this site (and frankly amazing being run by a retailer) is the info. These “systems” are essentially a bunch of filters strapped to a harbor freight hand cart. This site is full of DIY solutions, real world experience…right next to retailer and manufacturer input and advice. The people are generally and friendly and full of been-there-done-that real world advice.
What I would like to see is more war stories, tales from the trenches…

Nath had a window cleaning forum in the UK/Eire. He migrated to a new platform… and the users stopped coming and posting.
Change for the better doesn’t always work out…
On an aside to the OP, this forum is still quite clicky with a lot of posts being hi jacked/lost focus on the topic and moving into some sports rubbish or something not related to the topic the post first started with…
gets kinda boring when things dont stay on topic.
Again, I’ll say it a million times. I like you all but change is the only constant in this life… My schedule changes by the MINUTE. Learn to adapt and MOVE ON…
Honestly, when the pwr site changed I stopped going there. Just dont like it. I still pop in every great once in a while but I just dont care for the layout.
This place is tried and true… The new changes coming down the pipeline are going to tell wether we stick it out or forget about it
