I’m getting anxious to get into pure water cleaning and just bought a backpack. That’s all I’ve got right now as I’m shopping for the rest. Anyway I have a commercial job with 16 3x3’s. I’ve done it now for about nine months or so using different methods. Suffice it to say I still hate them. Usually I’ll just squeegee some and towel some but it always takes me too long detailing.
So, … I have this backpack which seems to have an adequate wand for the moment. I was thinking perhaps I could use the backpack and the wand to try and change these over to a pure water method. I thought I could just walk along and hand brush/spray/rinse the windows without much problem.
Being the first time and knowing I’ve used a lot of soap here in the preceeding months, what kind of problems should I expect and what kinds of things can I do to make it easier?? Also do you think it will be worth making this change?? I do it weekly and if I could save some time here and make everything look perfect that’s what I’m looking for.
Congratulations for getting ready for pure water! Nice
Pure water cleaning takes time to learn just like any tool, so don’t get too discouraged at first. Secondly, wfp work has it’s place and traditional methods have theirs. It again, takes time. Distinguishing which accounts each will work more efficiently for you will many times be trial and error.
Some problems you will run into are the commercial seals holding dirt and possible soap from previous cleaning. Watch YouTube vids on wfp work, wfp back packs. Study the methods that seem to make sense for you and when you get to your first job you’ll have a pretty good idea where to begin.
If you can reach them from a small ladder, it’d do them by hand. I agree with Jeremiah that WFP has it’s place and for those windows it might be easier the good ole way. This is coming from a guy that loves his WFP!
I’m still pretty new with wfp but used mine on all my french last year. What a breeze. Just scrub the hick out of the frames and they will come out perfect. You’re gonna love it!!
