What is the easiest way to connect a SLX to a regular garden hose? I recently bought the pole and just realized it doesn’t have a standard end connector. I’m having trouble finding the proper adapter. I need it tomorrow so I may just cut the tubing and buy a barb adapter at Home Depot in the morning. Thanks for the help!
That’s what I do. Go to HD or your local garden type store and buy a barbed garden hose fitting. The pole hose fits well and most of the time doesnt need a clamp or anything. Just slide it on and your good to go.
This is what I picked up at Holmes Depot. It is a garden hose quick connect that attaches to the end of your hose. It also gives you a valve at the pole to shut off or throttle your flow.
Why would you want to connect the slx to a garden hose? Is the tds coming off the house 0-10?
At the end of the connector I put a Male hose x 3/8" Female Pipe adapter. Then put my air hose onto that.

That setup will work. One thing you will find out is the size will cause it to hang up on bushes and obstacles. This low profile fittings is much better. I learned the hard way

Big Brett,
I use the same thing John does with that same air hose, his link was bad though its right here.
Just tak that barbed thing out and your orange hose screws right in. Only issue I have with it, is my guys constantly drop it on the concrete and end up messing up the on/off valve. How does that plastic valve hold up to banging on the concrete? Can it take a beating?
Thanks for the pics Bailey. Found the exact adapter at HD this morning and it worked perfect!
Hey Brett,
The orange hose on a reel? Thin black hose going through pole?
Knope…it is my pleasure!
Buddyo - Correct!
I hope to remember to take a pic of my connection as to see what I am doing wrong.
