… I like what your saying. Everybody likes their tools well maintained
and your body is your main tool. Burnt coffee and fossilized burritos
will get you through the day but not the decades. A long range vision
for your business has got to include your body (and mind and spirit).
What made you go gluten free? I’m on my one year anniversary of a Celiac diagnosis, Doc said she hadn’t seen numbers as high as mine in years. I’m positive that getting rid of gluten saved my life, literally. Still healing, still a ways to go - but for the first time in years I feel a little better every day instead of worse. I was so bad and my body so jacked up that I literally had withdrawals the week going GF, laying in bed and wanting to scream and snap at my family for absolutely no reason other than being on edge.
I originally went gluten free to support my wife. She has rheumatoid arthritis and I found through research that many if not most autoimmune disorders were linked to a condition called “intenstinal permeability” which is basically the intestines becoming inflamed due to a food allergy. The cell walls get inflamed causing them to be porous leaking spetic material into the bloodstream.
I convinced her to try a gluten free diet. Well she did and it helped her. But, of course, just like many couples it was kind of ridiculous to cook different meals for each of us. I found it easier to be on the same meal plan. However, I started to notice how much better I felt being gluten free - the blood sugar swings I used to have really bad, evened out and I lost 20 lbs as well.
I know the whole gluten free thing seems like a fad, but here’s something to consider: the wheat we now consume has been bred for maximum gluten content as well as having pesticides built in (thanks Monsanto). So I think another culprit is the GMO food. Interestingly enough, the most genetically modified of foods are wheat, corn and soy - which happen to be the most allergenic… also peanuts!
Sorry to go on a rant, but I really do believe that many of our health problems can be linked to our toxic and nutritional deficient diets. Pretty much impossible to buy prepackaged food that meets our specific nutritional requirements which is why I cook everything from scratch nowadays using “whole foods”
I’m glad you found help. Most of the time this help needs to be sought outside of the mainstream medical system.
I have noticed that my joints feel a lot better helping me to clean more windows (gotta mention cleaning those windows… seo lol :))
Lol, Still eat steaks, dinosaur steaks if I can get away with it, still a carnivore! In fact I was told to keep my meat intake up Gluten free / whole foods basically takes out any form of wheat / rye / barley & a lot of the processed crapola. Jesse has it right on this bad boy - way healthier, shoot I’m pretty much off antacids too
I can eat all of that minus the butter… Dang lactose & dairy intolerance = stuffs my sinuses up quick.
Your wife is a lucky woman with that kind of support Don’t even get me started in monsanto lol - or I’ll be bringing out my soapbox and preaching to the masses, let’s just say I am happy to say I did my small part in helping get GMO labeling on the ballot in Washington state before I moved
Anyway until it happened to me - I always thought of food merely as fuel. Now I know
GMO is actually the real problem. There is no such thing as Gluten Allergies in Italy. Why? They have not gone with the GMO grains and they are better off.
