Getting the Bid!

How many of you use a service that handles looking for and filtering commercial bids for Govt/Municipal, Private Industry, etc?

I was doing a web search this morning to check my SEO and came across a building name that I know very well. Turns out that the County was seeking bids for power washing and window cleaning for this building. I have been aching to get that job for two years because I know that it needed it. Only problem is that between all of the work of a business, I haven’t taken the time to look into it. This morning I was unpleasantly surprised when after finding the subject on the search engine, registering for the forum (Powerwashing Institute) to gain access to the bidding documents, and finally gaining access to what I thought was gonna be a sweet-a$$ed chance for me to get this big 6 floor monster job, that I was only a week late on the bidding process. They closed the bids last week. Crap! I totally missed out on this.

Not again, folks. I discovered that my home county only uses a company called Bidsync to do their bidding of goods and services. I am now registered for that too. It was a free service… They have a partner website called BidLync that does the same for 15,000 other agencies (those that need the services), but it is $289 for a 6 month membership. I think its worth it. I am willing to travel to other states for big government jobs.

What other services do you use? I know that there are several out there, and I already get bids from RFDepot, but nothing ever comes up. Do you have success getting those bids and securing work from them?

Looking for some real help here people. THanks in advance.

you might just want to go to your County Clerk Recorders office, and they can lead you to the right direction where you can bid on Government projects.

its free, no charge

Mike Draper seems to have a keen eye for those hidden gems lurking. He kicks me e-mails every so often with contracts in my area. Mike?

A source for Federal jobs is Fedbizopps.gov. Although it is only for jobs that are $20,000.00 and up, you can find out who won the houskeeping bid and sub-contract for them.
