Anyone recommend a good glass scratch repair kit or tool? I’m looking at Glass Hog, but not sure if this is the best available? Any suggestions?
Hey there!
Check out the GlassRenu kit here: Scratched Glass Repair
They just released a new more affordable unit.
There are probably about 50 videos here on the forum showcasing the unit. Let us know if we can help.

Stay away from the scratch hog go w gall renu
Dave, I thought you were already into the scratch removal. But I have a scratch hog that has been sitting in my garage for 7 years. It was way to hard to use, and would distort the window so bad I wound up replacing a few. Nightmare. I have a GlassRenu system and love it. The learning curve is high but with some patience and practice its worth it.
A buddy of mine uses the AGR system by Fields Company and swears by it. Says it it the best on the market, and he looked into the GlassRenu. And is a scratch hog convert.
If you want to try the GlassRenu out I am just up the road and you can see if you like it. But I love it.
You tease…
You know I was wanting that too… It wouldn’t fit the budget on my last order…
hmmmm… Do I eat, or do I get a new toy?
It looks to me the Glass Hog and Glass Renu are about the SAME product.
Why is Glass Renu better?
Ease of use and results. The scratch hog wasn’t to tackle all the jobs I needed for. And it took much longer to remove the scratch. The scratch hog took longer to clean up. The diamond paste got everywhere. I also didn’t experience distortion free results 100% of the time. The learn curve was too high, and the whole process took to long.
I own both and wouldn’t have bought the GlassRenu if the scratch hog worked for what we needed.
The Glassrenu cuts the time of the repair down. And with a shorter learning curve I can show someone how to use it and send them on their way with complete confidence.
My idoit brother in law worked on a scratch for a half a day and it turned out okay with the scratch hog. It was the last scratch we removed with it. After we got our Glassrenu he went out and did a similar repair in half the time. I was shocked and he was the one that came back raving about the machine.
Regardless of which system you go with, it will be a good service to offer, with plenty of opportunities to restore glass and make some money. I am a Glassrenu guy, but thats just me.
