Unger generously bought dinner for the focus group attendees last night.

The highlight of my evening was talking with a window cleaning business owner who, on September 11 2001, was a stock broker that worked just a couple blocks from ground zero. Like many of us, he and many of his co workers were watching TV coverage in their office that morning when the 2 nd plane hit the 2 nd tower. Unlike many of us, when that 2 nd plane came into view on television, he and his co workers could also see that plane outside his office window. Also, he was outside when the 2 nd tower collapsed, and the debris cloud overtook him as he was trying to escape the area. The events of that day were a major factor in his decision to retire from Wall Street and purchase a Fish franchise in 2004.
It was an incredible evening. I now get to see ground zero on Saturday, having talked with someone with a personal connection to the tragedy.
We also talked shop for most of the evening. I know what many people think of Fish and their franchise owners, and so does this man. We talked about every aspect of the business, right down to what we charge, how much we pay employees, and how we go about getting new clients. Let me tell you, this man runs a good business, charging a fair market price, paying a good living wage, and having a friendly, non-cutthroat attitude towards his direct competitors.
I am both honored and grateful to have met him.
Now, I’m looking forward to a full day of talking about waterfed poles. Unger is unveiling a new wfp product to us today!

He’s got one of the coolest trucks for sure.
Absolutely! One of the first things I asked him was “Is the truck here?”. When he told me it was I wasn’t going to let him go without getting my picture taken by it.

You guys are to funny. Looks like I lost all intimidation factor and will have to be happy being a nice window cleaner. It was great to meet you John and put great conversation to a familiar face many of us know. It was an awesome day talking with so many about what I am passionate about (most the time people just stare at me like I have 2 heads when talking about window cleaning).
