Google Local Service Ads

I was curious if anyone was using Google Local Service Ads. I had been using them until last year but then they changed their policy and I needed to get a general contractors license to be apart of it. The cost of the insurance and bond alone to get a general contractors license would be over $3,000 a year so that’s a huge leap just to be able to pay for advertising, but with only having to pay when you have a lead instead of clicks like with google ads it was seemingly really lucrative.

Does anyone use this?

we signed up at the start of the year. We are insured and bonded but not a general contractor. Are you licensed at all or just not a general contractor?

We are licensed but not a general contractor at the moment. When I first signed it I was fine but now if I try to reverify I have to select one of these. I did the to finding cheaper insurance so I might get the license just to try to it out because of I get 1 job a month it’s already paid for itself
