I’ve never been one for a step ladder, I carry a little giant and that works perfect. However, you might run across a storefront or a house window where you need that one step to get up there and do some scrubbing, blading or whatever.
I was going to do one house where I knew I’d be needing a step up and stopped by home depot to see what’s what. They had these gorilla ladders and I picked one up.
They are just the bomb! Rated to 250 and as a big guy, I feel totally comfortable on it. It also had some wide feet so if you’re in the dirt, it won’t sink on you.
I just like it because it folds flat and can lay on top of my little giant in the truck, or it can even fit behind my seat. It’s compact and lightweight.
So Jared, the platform steps didn’t deflect? Those type normally scare me a little.
This is about 10 years ago, mind you, but I bought an articulating step ladder by Gorilla and it was a complete piece of junk. Actually I cut my finger on it carrying it out of the store. The mechanisms didn’t function smoothly like the Little Giant’s and parts broke within months.
Maybe they’ve improved on quality since.
