Graffiti Removal Question

not sure where this should be posted, I have been asked to remove this Graffiti. I do have a Hot/Cold Power Washer, I was wondering what would be the best chemicals to use and how much to charge per square foot. Ill go measure it today, it is on a very steep hill so ill have to charge extra for difficulty, but i was wanting to see what kind of input I could get from you guys. ’

I use Worlds Best Graffiti remover. Works awesome and won’t hurt your skin. Do a search and you will find nothing but great reviews on it. As for price, not really knowing how large of an area that is…I would charge $400-600. Hope this helps.

That does help man. I appreciate the responses. I will measure tommorow I assume its about 30 to 40 feet long. What kind of thing makes you suspect the price. I assume there is probably a price per square foot that is used. This being my first, dont have a clue on that yet. Kinda hate to get rid of it before the wannabe Banksy finishes it.

Oh also I read on tagaway that use my washer to clean off. (High pressure) assuming most graffiti removal will be same procedure.

Graffiti Remover

I only know very little about graffiti removal and pressure washing but I must say this. Seriously think over taking on this job. I am sure that the local crime rate will steeply rise if you succeed in removing this graffiti.

Now this is not a place I would think of removing tags from with a PW. But, then again, take what I say with a bucket if salt.
I foresee mud in your future.

Have you thought about renting a backhoe with a wire brush attachment and grinding it off?

Worlds best is the greatest product to use when removing graffiti from surfaces. I believe we used around 40 gallons this year between the bare brick and sensitive surface. The wipes are also great. I would never even consider using another product.

Having a hot unit is essential when using this product for best results.

By just looking at that picture, the bare brick worlds best would/could make that look like it was never there.

Thank you, i will give this a try. I really appreciate you guys help. Pricing is certainly a question still. One member said from 400-600 is that sounding about right if this was hypothetically 35 feet long and say 12 feet tall.

I did think about just drilling holes and inserting dyn - o - mite and take off a layer. But since its national forest area they are not going to let me i don’t think.

@Lsmain Dude, that product looks like it will do the trick. Where should I buy this and how much I wonder, whats the dilute info. Not sure since its probably around 420 square feet i assume. (measuring this afternoon)

++edit: well i found this: So about 80sqft per gallon sound right?

Derreck, if you have time today, shoot me a text and we can set up a call.

Pricing wise, triple that number you were thinking, just for a starting point. That’s not including cost of chemical , around $80 per gallon.

What at pressure washer do you have ? Or just the specs even would help, gpm, brand etc.

6gpm, 5500psi, Hot Water Unit, Delta, Gas/Diesal machine.

Derreck, listen to Dave’s advise…he knows his stuff. Knowing how many square feet we’re talking about my price would be higher than what I said in my first post. A gallon of of Worlds Best cost me about 100 bucks and you use it straight with no mix. You apply it with a paint brush for best results. Plan on buying a few gallons for the job. As for washing it off, I’ve done it with heat and without both with great results. Make sure you have proper ropes to harness yourself as the rock will get very slippery!

Congrats on landing the job!!!

Thanks so much for your input and assistance. Glad to have made some new friends along the way!
