Grease like substance on new construction window seals?

hi anyone come into contact with a grease like substance on the rubber seals of the glass? This is a 2 storey hospital new construction job. the grease on the rubber transfers to the glass and not matter how hard you try the glass looks terrible. like a grease film . Any input would be appreciated…

Thanks.

It’s probabaly silicone (fresh silicone appears greasy, old silicone is harder). Oil Flow or De-Solv-It, may do the trick. A word of caution, though. Never let any solvents (even biodegradable ones) dwell too long on the seals or windows. You may want to get more info from the builders before taking any action. With new construction window cleaning, you always want to cover your assets (so to speak).
