One thing I miss about TSP is that you don’t have to worry about putting too much in your water. With soap, just a little bit too much and my sponge will fill with suds and become useless.
But I’m not going to have to clean windows for about 6 months now:p Suckers! It’s Snow Season for me now. Best thing I like about being self-employed is that if you want, you can have variety in your days work. It gets to me if I only do one thing constantly, I can’t imagine working in a factory or a restaurant… I’d go postal.
I once cleaned the Bank of Montreal tower in
-27C temp. I got it pieced out to me and winter came early.:o It gave me tendinitis on my right arm, swelled up like an elephant trunk. It was because all the methyl hydrate I had to use to keep it from freezing was blowing upward in the prows, wetting my arm.
I HATE cleaning windows in winter, always have and have always took a lay off instead… almost always. On my own we only had a bit of a route when I had a partner. Now all I do is Shovel and snow blow… and play video games.
Sometimes in Winnipeg it gets so cold it’s like walking on the moon.
Just chiming in with a different approach. I used to use simple green on greasy restaurant windows, but found it dried out so fast, it didn’t have time to do it’s job. I have never used TSP, so I can’t say much about it, but I use dawn almost exclusively in restaurants because it does so well on grease. It works great on tint, I’m pretty worried about scratching it, so if something needs extra scrubbing on tint, I don’t even use my washer, I use the extra fuzzy yellow microfiber towels that they sell at costco. that does the trick for me.
I really appreciate the response to this thread. Dawn hasn’t touched the grease on these windows, don’t know why, but I am going to try the TSP and the Titan Green to see which one works the best for us.
Way to go Chip-ster, I’m glad that you find TSP awesome.

Oh by the way Chip with SunShine Services has cleaned windows I think for 20 years and he’s still learning. Which shows an open mind and status to “SONS OF ETTORE” ! For me after 31 years I’m still willing to learn ergo AquaDray…That is why I’m part of this vibrant community…OH YEAH
