In my latest pack of steel wool i swear some of the pieces have like a greasy feel to them. Anyone ever get this? Is that normal?
I haven’t had that happen but I do think that they do put oil on it to help prevent rust you might have just gotten extra oil

Not uncommon at all. There is oil on it to keep rust from forming before use.
