''Tis the season so I bought one of those Mirrors on shopwcr but I’m scratching my head as to how this actually attaches to a pole?
Not trying to come off rude, but why would you need one? I price my work as if the gutters are full and in need of my service. If its less work than normal great, the hot dogs are on me, and if it requires a full clean its priced accordingly. I hope your tool works but please don’t stress over it.
Some people advertise free gutter inspection as an easy way to sell their services. This is something you wouldn’t want to get up on a ladder for
Personally, I’d probably do like @luke3636 and put a camera at the end of the pole, so I can show the homeowner a video of their clean (or dirty) gutters.
completely irrelivant and unhelpful post
So I am assuming you price like I do ( per foot - per level ) . We charge more for second level per foot.
Are you saying that if you price a job at $300.00 and clean nothing out of the gutters, you still hand them a bill for $300.00 ?
Thank you for the feedback. Now that I know you speak for everyone on the forum, I’ll run all posts through you first. Since we are here though I’ll explain. By having set prices and not needing to buy inspection tools (mirrors, cameras, drones, etc.) owners can save money. This information would have been very helpful to me in the beginning.
No I do not price that way. I also offer more than just debris removal with my gutters, so a customer never gets “nothing” done. I also return money based off of an easier than expected job. Customers are always very surprised when this happens and its a cool feeling to be honest with good people.
it might be a good idea.
he didn’t ask about pricing or anything like that, he specifically asked if anyone knows how it attatches to a pole, you didn’t adress that, all you did was criticize
no critic here, I intended to let him know that even if his product didn’t turn out like he wanted, he had other successful options (pricing being one of them). You assumed I was criticizing, I actually see value in on site inspections. My company hasn’t benefited from it. I simply didn’t want the guy to feel he was at a loss if he couldn’t inspect all gutters. Perfectly valid and helpful
I do all gutter cleaning quotes over the phone as I have flat prices for ranch, 2 story, 3 story. I bought the mirror to see on the job what gutters have debris and possibly SAVE a couple extra ladder climbs which will help my knees in the long run and timing to do the job.
Smart man. I hope someone has the ticket to getting that thing on a pole. That use definitely justifies the purchase and concept. Good luck boss
I hope so too as I have seen this gutter mirror before and seriously considered purchasing one. I think I will hold off to see if anyone has a solution. Thanks !
Donald, I am curious now. Looking at the picture of the mirror in your post I have a question for you. Is it designed to clip on a pole using the round circular clip looking gizmo ? If that is the case, is it loose or what is the issue ? I am just wondering if you could modify that somehow. We could certainly utilize this tool when estimating gutters if it could attach properly to a pole. Thanks ! Jeff
I am sorry my friend the post was started by @Strezy he has the tool. Again good luck to you guys working it out.
