Hi there,
My name is Chris Walega. I’ve been cleaning windows for 10 years. Started out in Oceanside CA, without a clue, but have learned (a few things) along the way. Traveled extensively, using window cleaning as a job I could take anywhere. About 3 years ago, I started to treat it like a legitimate business. It’s been quite a learning experience, but I know there’s more to learn.
Right know I have 1 employee. I do about 95% residential (love it), 5% (and growing!) commercial (not sure yet how much I like it, compared to residential…). I can tell commercial is a different animal.
I’m here because I have found that I’m an entrepreneur at heart, and would love to learn from others about how to improve and expand my business. I would also be glad to meet others like me, share neat/funny work stories, advice (for whatever it’s worth!), etc. So I think I’ve found the right place.
I look forward to meeting you.
Thanks.
Welcome Chris!
You’ve definitely found the right place. Welcome. There are several Minnesota members here.
Welcome Chris. This is a great place to get info of any kind. Some great people in here. I just keep soaking up the information. Good luck.
Welcome Chris stick around and you will get all the info you will need to run a succesful window cleaning company.
Welcome to WCR
Hey Chris welcome!
Thanks to all for the warm welcome!
Chris-Ski Dude,
I cleaned windows in San Clemente and I did some work in Oceanside back in the early 90’s…Welcome to the forum !
What a difference of environments Eh, being a beach bum to being in the land of ice cubes…You should of came to the PNW…
Being by the Beach is cool but SoCal is a real tough area…I bet the fishing in Minnie is pretty cool !
Well be safe my fellow escapee from SoCal !

welcome Chris, looking forward to your posts
Chris, welcome. Nice to have you here.
So Seattle, eh? Yeah, back in those days I used to make my rounds in Greeenwood(?), the U-district, and Finney Ridge… Good times…
DUDE,
You did live in Seattle…When ? Seattle is cool…I live in Renton the home of the Seattle SEA-SLOPS !Did you ever do any fishing here, you know there are steelhead and salmon up in the great lakes and your really not that far from rivers that go into them…They need to come up and spawn ! COOL… Again welcome on board my fellow SoCal escapee and former Seattllite.

Hah! I lived all over the place; W’Cing paid the way. Used to go fishing at . . . what was it called . . .
Golden Gardens!!! (You know this place?) This was 9-11 years ago. I remember there’s berries growing all over the place, right in the city. I’m not a fan of city-living, but I do give Seattle credit for being pretty neat.
Had a little “head start” bus. Took the seats out and made it a honey-moon RV.
Originally from Detroit, I was only in SoCal for a short time – USMC. Yeah, as far as Great Lakes: I used to live in the Upper Peninsula. That’s an awesome place, lemme tell ya. Great fishing. Wolf, moose, and bear running around.
Devil Dog Eh…Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
You got that straight, as a window cleaner you can drive through out the country and make money to see you through each day.
Golden Gardens is a beach in Ballard and I think there is a party boat coming out of the ship canal out to Elliott Bay.Right now the salmon are coming in so fishing is stating to ramp up.
De-Twa Eh, so your originally an Ice-Man so living in Minnie is getting back to your original environment…Yeah I know that fishing is great in your part of town. Still the ice there is to much for this west coaster…I 'll stick with Me-attle.
